My vehicle was impounded, now what?

Having your vehicle impounded can be a trying and difficult situation, often you are unsure of what to do next. It is always important to contact us as soon as possible to find out where your vehicle is located, the costs incurred and what you need to do to get possession of your vehicle to avoid daily storage fees.

The registered owner of the vehicle must be present and present a valid ID, proof of insurance and registration. If the registered owner does not have a valid driver's license, they must be accompanied by a licensed driver.  Payment for fees are due prior to the release of the vehicle.

Vehicles impounded by Green Oak Township Police Department, Howell Police Department and Pinckney Police Department require a release form. Contact the appropriate police department to obtain a release prior to coming to get your vehicle.
